In another post we discussed a new Security Patch SUPEE-6788. As we stated in that blog, this important but delicate patch must be implemented correctly, because it will break existing extensions when installed. This release is specifically for Magento Community and Magento Enterprise users.

Magento Security Patch SUPEE-6788 This security patch is scheduled for release on Friday, October 23rd 2015*. This pressing update fixes several security issues, however it must be applied carefully. Magento has warned that in order to address the issues the security patch requires changes made that may break backward compatibility with customizations or extensions.
